Lil Mama’s Lips Have Gloss

“Lip Gloss” a new run away hit from the pint sized rapper Lil Mama.  This little New Yorker has climbed the search results for Lip Gloss Lyrics and other searches for her video and Lip Gloss MP3 Downloads.

From Houston to Detroit the five foot two inch crooner belts out one of the most sought after ringtones from girls under the age of 17.  Her first chart-topping hit “Lip Gloss” has been a favorite song of praise for girls in the mid-20’s down to 10 and 11 year olds.

Lil Mama was no stranger to hard times, growing up in a tough side of East New York.  Living in Harlem she was faced with poverty at a young age.  With 7 other brothers and sisters this youngster born Niatia Kirkland turned to poetry, dance and rapping at just 10 years of age.

In high school Lil Mama was creating her own material and recorded several songs with her father.  With her mom being hit with colon cancer in 2003 she turned to her music to deal with the emotional pain she was going through.  In 2006 teaming up with Ali Samii (DMX’s manager) she headed to Atlanta Geoiga to lay down some tracks with Nappy Roots’ producer James Chambers aka “Grove”.  It was there she recorded 7 songs that included “Lip Gloss” which climbed the R&B Hot 97 charts.

Lil Mama is so confident she will be one to watch – stating that she has been at the bottom and has what it takes to make it to the top.

Lil’ Wayne Pictures

I just heard that Lil’ Wayne has been around since the 90’s  – some thirteen years to be exact.  Guess I’ve been under a rock…but after checking out some Lil’ Wayne Ringtones I wish I would have been turned on to him long before now.

“Da Drought 3 Track List” has been a popular music download on sites like iTunes and Buy.com.  This veteran rapper knows the business inside and out and teams up with some of the top rappers as well as pumping out solo albums.

Lil’ Wayne deubted his first Cash Money recording with an artist by the name of B.G.  In 1997 the New Orleans’ super rap ground the Hot Boys was born featuring Lil’ Wayne, Juvenile, Young Turk and B.G.

Only sixteen years old, Lil’ Wayne blew everyone away with the platinum selling album “Tha Block Is Hot (1999).  Winning that years Source Award for Best New Artist.

Like A Father Like Son906(Explicit Version) His latest and greatest is Like A Father Like Son906(Explicit Version) with Birdman will surely go plantium before long.

HD Radio Now At BestBuy

On Monday, BestBuy announced that they would start selling High-Definition Radio in all of its stores throughout the United States.  HD Radio noticeably sounds better then standard radio and offers up many different stations over the same frequencies.  BestBuy will focus on Car Radios that have HD Radio capabilities.  Other sound systems will follow in 2008 the nations largest seller of Sirius satellite radio.

Consumers are being bombarded with many choices in digital music.  The Apple iPod and various other MP3 Players and the popular Satellite Radio are three of the most popular.  Apple’s iTunes is still the leader in the digital music arena, but with over $250 million dollars to be spent on marketing HD Radio through the BestBuy brand, a new front-runner may be on the horizon.

Most people realize iPods are great devices for downloading popular rock music and maybe some oldies, but what about country? Do these devices have enough offerings to warrant interest by country music fans?

Yes! The fact of the matter is country music iPod action is about as strong as it gets. As portable MP3 players become more and more popular and affordable, music labels across the board are embracing their use and seeing them as a new, and different outlet for selling their songs.

Justin Timberlake Steals Number One

“Give It To Me” pushes off Akon’s “Don’t Matter” taking the Billboard Hot 100’s No. 1 Spot.  “Give It To Me” features Nelly Furtado and is the first release from Justin Timberlake’s new album that has yet to release. One the heals of his sole Concert Tour Justin Timberlake Concert Tickets are hard to come by.

Other songs topping the charts are Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” which is moving swiftly up the charts since hitting the top ten seven weeks ago. Avril Lavigne is a featured music download from Real Rhapsody, you can try their service 14 days for Free and grab a free music download of the lastest hit from Avril.  Fergie’s “Glamorous” which features Ludacris, Gwen Stefani’s “The Sweet Escape” featuring Akon are also among the top ten Billboard Hot 100 hits.

“Wasted” another Carrie Underwood smash is atop the Hot Country charts for the 2nd week  Linkin’ Park are finally back on the charts with a No. 1 on the Modern Rock charts with “What I’ve Done”

In other Music News – Fuel has named a new leads singer and drummer – Toryn Green.  After conducting international website auditions in 2006, Toryn was selected based on the incredible audition and then sealed the deal with a mind blowing performance live in person at the LA try-outs.

Fuel is launching a tour in about two weeks and promise fans will get the whole package with Green.  He have amazing studio senses and offers up a sound that will keep in step with the history of Fuel.  The band also announced that Tommy Stewart of Godsmack has joined the band as their drummer.  Tommy brings talent and experience and is a welcomed final piece to the reborn Fuel.  With a new CD in the works and due to release in the next few months – we can only hope that these two new members will crank out the great tunes that Fuel fans are accustom to.
