AT&T Confirms Big Deal with Napster
By Tim Somers on Mar 30, 2007 in General
The two super powers, Napster and AT&T have come to terms and will provide the leading United States phone company’s with wireless service that will include high-speed Internet access and free digital music.
Scheduled to launch April 1, 2007 – giving users access to over 3 millions song through Napster To Go. This will be available to new or existing AT&T wireless customers outside of a 22 state territory – but you must sign a two-year wireless agreement and purchase the SYNC phone by Samsung or the BlackJack phone.
I wonder how this sits with the Recording Industry Association of America in their continued fight against illegal free music downloads. This will surely be another hurtle the RIAA will have to jump to stop music downloads.
