Beat Box Blake Lewis In Finals

Was it really such a shock that Melinda Doolittle was sent packing this week as the latest American Idol contender is be ousted? Maybe all those shocked are just a bunch of old farts. Ya sure Melinda has a great voice, but she is not really that appealing to the American Idol audience.
Blake is all the buzz, his beat box antics annoy most old schoolers, but the youngsters really love that crap. At 42 I really tough I was open to just about any type of music. But Blakes Beat Boxing just didn’t sit well with me. Sure I think he’s talented, but why mess with classic songs.
I kept telling my kids, (15, 12 and 11) that Blake would never last. Now I think he’s gonna win American Idol. Jordin Sparks has a much better voice than Blake, but the kids are going to push Blake Lewis over the top.
Internet searches for Blake Lewis are 5 for every one search made for Melinda Doolittle. Even Jordin Sparks has out ranked searches for Doolittle. I read that 20% of the searches that Doolittle did received were from teenagers, leaving 80% to us old timers. Were as Blake is pulling in 55% of his votes by teens. This is why Melinda was giving her walking papers this week.
I have no doubts that Melinda Doolittle will have a record deal before long and my very likely do better than Blake or Jordin commercially.

Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.
The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.
