Ok so you decided to learn how to play guitar, but which style of guitar should be you choose to learn how to play? Three of the most popular are the Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar and the Acoustic Guitar; all offering they own distinct sound. The style of music you want to learn to play will be a major factor in the type of Guitar you should buy.
I guess the most popular starter guitar would have to be the acoustic followed closely by the electric guitar. If money is an issue the Acoustic Guitar is the most cost effective way to you. Any you can play an Acoustic Guitar just about anywhere with out worrying about electricity. Do not by a Cheap Acoustic Guitar the sound quality can defiantly be heard where as you can sometimes get away with a Cheap Electric Guitar.
I’d suggest a mid-range Acoustic Guitar; you don’t have to focus on a name brand at this point since you are just starting out. Once you get the feel for playing guitar you will then be able to grasp the various qualities available and move up to a better name brand guitar.
If you choose to buy an electric guitar you will need an amplifier. The type of amplifier you buy will again depend on the type of music you will be playing. If you are a head banging heavy metal crooner you are going to want to send a little more and buy a well made name brand amplifier.
So choose your music style and then buy a guitar that fits that style, then learn to play guitar with private lessons or teach yourself guitar – rock on!
