Concert Tour First Quarter Report 2007
By Tim Somers on Apr 15, 2007 in General
The first concert tours of the year are always followed closely by the music industry and the rest of the powers that be. They give a hint to what will sell well for the rest of the concert season. 2007 concert season has only just begun, but already two heavy hitters are pulling ahead of the pack.
If the first concert tours to do well in concert ticket sales are a clue to the rest of the season, then it is a good thing OzzFest is free this year. The two top ticket sellers are both about as not-metal as you can get. Who are the mysterious leaders in concert ticket sales so far? Rod Stewart and Justin Timberlake.

Stewart and Timberlake have each topped the 330,000 mark in ticket sales already, and it’s only April. Timberlake is touring under the headline FutureSex/LoveSounds, and his sales are proving he’s bringing sexy back to more than just the radio waves. Stewart is touring under the headline Rockin’ in the Round. You can still get concert tickets to see Stewarts show, however; Timberlake’s short 38 date tour is already drawing to a close.
