Rock Purses Flaming Lips At Broadway

The Flaming Lips are not a band that suit everyone’s taste. To see what I mean check out some of their music with online music downloads or doing a search for the music lyrics of the Flaming Lips. If you love their music, you’ll probably love their newest venture, a Broadway musical version of one of their CDs.
That’s right, they have decided to take their music CD “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots” to Broadway. They are taking this endeavor seriously, too, as it turns out, hiring none other than heavy-hitters Aaron Sorkin, of West Wing fame, and Des McAnuff, of Tommy (by the The Who) fame to help out.
Some consider their choice of album for adaptation to be odd, since it a murky meandering about love and life that has no cohesive story. Then you stop and realize that all of their albums are like that - murky and unreachable - and it becomes clear it would matter which album they chose.
