Sanjaya Sucks, Thanks a LOT Howard!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock these last few weeks, you know the American Idol money train has been going full blast.  We endured the auditions (everyone’s guilty pleasure, face it - we love to see people fall flat on their faces in front of millions of viewers), the Hollyweird round and now we are enduring the “only-slightly-rigged” contest itself.

Every year one or two losers stays on while good singers leave, obviously for ratings - conflict makes for better television after all.  This year’s loser of choice is Sanjaya.  In recent episodes, even the judges looked surprised he was still there - apparently he was supposed to be voted off before now so the real elimination can begin and we can get down to the Melinda vs Lakisha predicted final two.

So why is he still torturing us  (Well, unless we are lucky and he gets the boot tonight, that is)? Recent news reports blame Howard Stern of all people for the fact that we must continue to endure the hair, the Michael Jackson resemblance and the voice of a good karaoke singer or hotel lounge act. 

It seems that he has been telling his fans on the show to vote for Sanjaya as a joke.  Stern has long been a self-confessed junkie for American Idol. The sole purpose of this is to irritate one of his listeners, regular caller to Sterns show known as “Eric the Midget”.  All kidding aside Howard, I love your show as much as the next guy, but give us a break!  Let Sanjaya get voted off! He’s terrible!
